MEET OUR DIRECTOR
Welcome COach Green
Hello! My name is Geoff Green, the new Alpine Race Director for the Plattekill Renegades Race Program. I have been a coach for the Plattekill Program for the past 2 seasons and I’m looking forward to my 3rd. I am excited to be heading up the program this upcoming winter and I hope to bring new enthusiasm to the Renegades Race Team.
I grew up skiing and ski racing at Bromley Mountain in VT, where my father was on ski patrol for over 45 consecutive seasons; it was a family affair and where I developed my love for ski racing. I raced for my local high school, the Suffern High Mounties, qualifying for states and leading the team to a section championship. Then I went on to ski race for the University at Buffalo, where we qualified for the regional championships and secured a spot at Nationals at Brundage Mountain, Idaho.
Needless to say, my racing background led me to experience firsthand the excitement and rewards that ski racing can bring, and my goal as the new Race Director is to fuel that passion. I want to give young athletes that same opportunity to experience that thrill.
I look forward to welcoming back our current roster of AWESOME racers from last season…and hope to welcome new faces this upcoming winter! If you are considering signing up your child for the first time, we’d love to have them be a part of this great program.
If you have any questions feel free to reach out to me directly. (646) 498-3069 or email coachgeoff@plattekill.com.
See you in a few months!
– Coach Geoff

DEVELOPMENT
is my child ready FOR RACING?
If you’re not quite sure your child is ready yet for the Alpine Racing Program, we offer a 1-Day Trial Option ($180) to test out our Race Program and see if your child’s ability is up to speed. If they do have the right skills, we can apply these funds paid towards the season-long program.
We also have a Junior Development Program for ages 7-14 which is a great feeder for the alpine racing, that focuses on balance, agility, edging and rotation skills and can help kids gain the little extra confidence and mileage they need to prepare for the race program.
Junior Development is offered as single-day and multi-day (4-week and 8-week options) to get kids progressing quickly.
