WHAT TO SAY about this holiday week? Maybe let’s start with a picture. A few of them… and if you weren’t there to get this, I’m sorry.

Caution indeed…
It was indeed a freaky week– the weather included a list of every circumstance: Powder fresh from the heavens and, as seen above, from guns. Then Rain. Ice. And then more. But there were new guns that made new snow and more powder. Ski school kept the young ‘uns learning; others tried out their new fat skis, and 2019 was rung in (and we wrung out our damp clothes after some of that liquid snow). This being Plattekill, there was nary a lift line, or any line, just that Platty feeling of people you know, and people who ski beautifully (that would be Rich Prado skiing some great lines and catching air in his camo ski pants).
And now, I can promise you the weather is going to change because on Jan 6, I am going west. And here voila look at the forecast for Roxbury– which given the way Platty catches the weather could be a foot…
