Area Activities

The town of Roxbury and the surrounding villages are full of fun things to do so your guests can enjoy their time here before and after your big day!

Have a Picnic at Kirkside Park, located just minutes from Plattekill. The park features Adirondack-style bridges, gravel paths, and the East Branch of the Delaware River meandering through its meadows, making it the perfect spot for throwing a frisbee or football.  There is also a playground area for little ones!

The Catskill Scenic Trail is part of the Rails to Trails project.  At 26-miles long this trail features a hard-packed surface that makes it perfect for hiking, biking, running or just taking a short stroll.  You can rent a bicycle at The Roxbury General Store.

Take a leisure walk down our Main Street in Roxbury, offering a variety of shops and restaurants to pop into for a latte or a delicious lunch at an outdoor cafe.  Many of the homes that line the village are on the National Historic Registry including some that have signage explaining the specific part they played in the town’s history.

Play a round of golf at our nearby
9-Hole course at Shepard Hills or the local 18-Hole golf course at Hanah Country Resort.  Both offer great greens and are just a few miles from the mountain!

You and your bridal party…and/or your guests can enjoy a few hours of morning private yoga, meditation, or mindfulness sessions with an instructor from the Cardio Club at one of our mountain-top deck locations, on the deck at our base lodge, or at the  nearby yoga studio Play.  Private sessions with coaches and instructors can also be arranged.

Enjoy a guided Horseback Ride through the beautiful Catskill Mountains!  Local horse stables such as Broken Spoke Stables offer a variety of equine related activities for every age group, from young to old including trail rides and lessons to learn all about horses from the ground up.

You can enjoy a beautiful day on the water with friends and family before your one-of-a-kind mountain top event.  Why not reach out to Susan’s Pleasant Pheasant Farm for some Kayaking in the Catskills!
